What can a kitchen designer do for you?

15th Jan 2020

If you are thinking about embarking on a new kitchen extension, re-model or new-build home for 2020, we thought we would introduce our Bradburys team and show you how we can help make your kitchen installation run smoothly to achieve your dream kitchen.

It is important to have a good relationship with your kitchen designer from the start. You need to be able to be frank and tell them what you do and don’t want. If your designer understands you and the way that your family live within the space, you will end up with a fantastic design, in terms of style and functionality. At Bradburys we like to spend time with you to fully know your needs.

So, you’ve decided on a new kitchen, but where do you start? You may have an architect planning a new-build home or designing a stunning extension and we find, it is best to get a kitchen designer on board early on in this process. They can work with your architect to help you find the best solutions before any plumbing, electrical or building issues arise.

A kitchen designer will start with an initial design consultation to discuss your ideas, how you live as a family, what you want out of the final design, and go through a wish list of any appliances and design features you need. An experienced designer will most likely come up with new technology, storage and space-saving ideas you may not have thought of and can push boundaries on design and style to create the wow factor you want.

All ideas will then be pulled together to create a wonderful design scheme and layout ready to present to you. It is often hard to visualise how the finished room will look, so we find it is always very exciting for our clients to come in and see our full colour, photographic renders of their space as if they are stood in the room. Nothing is set in stone at this stage so you can make amendments and work together with your designer to make your kitchen bespoke and exactly as you have imagined.

When you are happy with your layout, have tried out appliances that you like, and decided on materials, finishes and a colour scheme, we will do a full survey of your space to confirm measurements, plumbing, and electrical needs and go through all details before your bespoke kitchen is ordered. Your dedicated project manager will then arrange tradespeople, delivery and installation to make sure everything goes to plan. When your new kitchen arrives, Bradburys make sure to only use our highly skilled and trusted installers. To ensure your luxury kitchen is fitted to the highest standards, your project manager will oversee the whole operation, giving you one point of contact if you have any questions.
