Wednesday in the Bradburys of Exeter kitchen showroom saw two fabulous events taking place with Miele. The first was a wonderful three-course lunch with accompanying wines and fizz for Sue McNeil and her friends and family. Sue was a finalist in last years Devon Life Home Cook competition, held in association with Miele at our showroom. Her third place prize, after wowing the judges with a menu celebrating local products, ingredients, and pottery from Chagford artisans, was a lunch for 8 people cooked by Miele executive chef Sven-Hanson Britt. The lunch was fun, relaxed and delicious.
Sven-Hanson then prepared for round two – an evening demonstration of Miele steam ovens, induction hobs, warming drawers and sous vide cooking for 12 invited guests. This informative and fun evening allows guests to enjoy a three-course meal whilst exploring Miele products up close, and asking Sven-Hanson and Adam from Miele about how to use the features and functions of each appliance and picking up lots of hints and tips for cooking.
On the menu:
Starter – Jersey Royal potatoes, smoked trout and quails egg, with a Dijon mustard and white wine vinegar sauce, spring onions and tarragon.
Main – Sous-Vide lamb with asparagus and spinach with a balsamic vinegar and white wine sauce, and a tomato and basil dressing.
Dessert – Homemade ice cream infused with Game Matcha tea, on a bed of organic spelt and puffed wild rice.
